This report came in from Striper Dave after several quick weekend striper fishing trips to local marinas and a few jetties. As usual, Dave catches fish where others don't think to fish.
From Friday night - November 27, 2009...
Strong west wind and still pulled one out on the go to bomber plug aka, the school bus. A slow retrieve was the ticket tonite!

I went jetty fishin tonite at one of my local spots. There was not a lot of action - very slow pickings. I came away with one nice schoolie. I was fishing the tip of the jetty with a very, very slow retrieve of my 3" shallow swimming bomber plug. Schoolie striper hit right at rocks. He must have been holding up tight. I wasn't sure I had him at first - very sluggish (cold water). Just a few light head shakes and I realized I had a fish on. I thought I may have been snagged at first. I got'em in - took a pic and gently released him back to the water. Oddly enough just after I caught him someone lit off some fireworks a few hundred yards away over the Bay. Overall a nice nigh. Striper and fireworks, pretty cool.
